Vixen has been making Refractor Telescopes for over 60 years. Light is collected through the objective lens to provide a consistently stable field of view. . Vixen’s ED Achromatic Refractors feature “Super Low Dispersion Glass” in the objective lens. The SD Glass in Vixen’s ED115S Refractor Telescope suppresses residual chromatic aberration far under the threshold of visibility producing sharp, high contrast images for both the visual observer and the astrophotographer. The Sky at Night Magazine states: “Vixen’s optics were excellent. The scope corrected false colours almost perfectly when in focus…Pointing the scope at the stars showed the optics to be pretty much perfectly corrected“*. The new SD lenses feature brighter images from the shorter f/7.7 focal ratio to capture crisp, pinpoint star images for your enjoyment. The ED115S Refractor Telescope’s lenses are made with environmentally friendly technologies, free of hazardous lead that helps to support a cleaner global environment.
